RSS Widget
The RSS widget will let you display entries from any RSS feed. This is another widget that can be used multiple times with each instance using different settings.

Enter the RSS feed URL here – You will need to get the RSS feed URL from the blog or web site you would like to display in the sidebar.
Some RSS examples:
- http://en.blog.wordpress.com/feed/ – WordPress.com news feed
- http://38pitches.com/feed/ – Curt Schilling’s blog
- http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Opinion.xml – New York Times Op-Ed headlines
- http://www.amazon.com/rss/tag/sci-fi/popular/ – Most popular Sci-fi products on Amazon
There are RSS feeds all over the web. To find the feed of a blog, Flickr stream, or whatever else, look for the standard feed icon
, or the word “subscribe” or “feed”. Right (or control on a Mac) click and copy the URL – usually by using the “copy link” or “copy link location” option available.
You cannot put your the feed address from your own blog into one of your RSS widgets. If you’d like to show your own recent headlines in you sidebar, please use the Recent Posts widget instead.
Give the feed a title – Set the title that will be displayed above the feed items.
How many items would you like to display? – Sets how many entries from the feed to show on your sidebar.
Display item content? – Check this box to show a portion of the posts content instead of just the title.
Display item author if available? – If you want to show the author’s name, check this box.
Display item date? – You can show the date the post was published by checking this box.
